The scientific research under the project is of real fundamental value. It will lead to the accumulation of a certain amount of information, making contributions of an experimental, theoretical and applied nature. It is expected that the experimentally and theoretically obtained results will acquire new knowledge in the field of metallopeptide chemistry and enrich the database with new complex compounds and analytical methods with potential application:

1. For the first time, the complexing properties of the ions Cu(II), Co(II)-, Ni(II)- Zn(II)-, etc. with newly synthesized ligands-peptide compounds conjugated with chromophore groups will be studied. These scientific results will enrich the database in the field of coordination chemistry at the national and global level.

2. For the first time, the structure and stability of the complexes of Cu(II), Co(II)-, Ni(II)- Zn(II)-, etc. with peptide ligands will be determined.

3. For the first time, methods based on combinatorial "dual" sensors will be developed as an opportunity for simultaneous detection and determination of groups of metal ions in field conditions. As a result of these studies, we expect to obtain new potential innovative sensor molecules for future application.

4. With the obtained encouraging results for a sensor molecule, electrode devices with deposited newly obtained compounds for direct detection of metal ions in field conditions will be constructed.
