Leading units of the base organization

The interdisciplinary nature of the project requires effective cooperation between scientists with expertise in different scientific fields. The departments of "Organic Chemistry" and "Analytical Chemistry", which are leading units in terms of volume and quality of scientific production in the base organization - University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, participate in the research on the project. The members of the scientific team are distributed between the departments, and their material base will be available to the researchers to conduct the research.

In fulfilling the tasks set in the project, the main goal of the scientific team is the development of an integrated approach based on combining organometallic peptide molecules with various modern methods and analytical techniques, in order to synthesize and characterize various chemosensor systems for selective and sensitive detection of metal ions. The conducted research and the obtained results will also support the educational process of students, full-time and part-time training in the specialty "Applied Analytics" from the Master's Degree Program at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy.
